Original Beef Jerky
We’d like to say we named it Original because it was the first flavor we came up with. But that would be a lie. Much like the big bang, Tailspin Jerky started as a small singularity nearly 13.8 billion years ago. As matter cooled and expanded, atoms formed and Tailspin’s medley of flavors popped into existence. We named our Spicy and Teriyaki varieties based on their respective flavor profiles, but we are nothing if not inconsistent so we named this flavorful freak of nature Original.

This carnivortex of sweetness will hit you like a whirling thing of sweetness hitting you. Sure, your life will become a cycle of disappointment after you eat it; every day a reminder that the bland food of mere mortals can no longer satisfy you. But the good news is that you can place recurring orders and never worry again about eating food with a weak disposition, like celery. This is Tailspin’s Teriyaki jerky, and it’s what those dreams you can fly in are made of.

Coming up with a name that combines the tasty goodness of Tailspin with fiery notes from exotic peppers and spices was quite a challenge. Ask yourself, what kind of a word can effectively convey a taste so complex? Sure it's tasty, but it's not all fun and games. It's like a roundhouse kick to the palate. What's it called when you eat something and it causes your face to melt? Hmm, that is a tough one. We went with Spicy.
Our Story
In 2016, I decided it was time to change the world. Just kidding. I quit my job as an engineer at a well known fruit company to pursue an endeavor that my high school teachers had always refused to support me in, mostly because it never came up: making jerky.I knew that I had a one in a million jerky recipe perfected through years of trial and error. And I knew that I wanted to build a brand that catered to fun, discerning consumers, while providing a consistently high quality product. But most importantly, I wanted it to be a product that I could be proud of sharing with you, and that you could be proud of sharing with your own friends and family.They say the absolute worst time to launch a brand is in an overly saturated market with competitors that have unlimited financial backing. But then again, they also say not to put all of your eggs in one basket, which anyone who’s ever transported eggs before knows is a complete lie. I don’t take advice from liars, so here we are.Tailspin Jerky is a protein rich, preservative free, delicious snack for anyone, at any time.Stay tasty.
